Paul “DJ Chacho” Perez

@pablo_simone_ has led a storied life in the city of San Antonio and its music scene. His involvement in the San Antonio music scene began back in the late 90’s when he launched his DJ career, which to date has established him as a knowledgeable veteran. Having a wide range of music knowledge that spans a plethora of genres and having spent 7 years working in radio, he’s had the honor of playing in some of the city’s best clubs and venues over the past 20+ years. Throughout that time, he’s opened for many major headlining acts and DJs. Currently, when he’s not producing his own original music under the moniker “Pablo Simone”, he’s heading up efforts as the manager of San Antonio’s favorite record store, Southtown Vinyl where he gets to share his music knowledge in many ways.

As much as he loves spending his time sharing music, Paul loves working with the youth of this city. In the early 00’s, Paul led his own DJ camps at NISD, the San Antonio Youth Center and the YMCA where he contributed his time to mentoring young aspiring DJ’s. It is in this same spirit of giving back to his community that Paul currently hopes to bring his knowledge and wisdom wherever it can best be utilized.
