Learn real creative skills through hands-on DJing, scratching, and music production classes with The AM Project.

AM offers private, paired, and small group classes for youth and adults at our San Antonio studio. Classes can support beginners, returning students, creative hobbyists, and students who want to explore DJing, music production, or creative technology as a future path.

  • The AM Project teaches DJing in a way that is hands-on, encouraging, and easy to understand.

    Students learn how music works, how DJs build energy, and how to use equipment with confidence. Classes can support beginners, students with some experience, adults who have always wanted to learn, and young people exploring DJing as a creative outlet or future career path.

    Classes may include beatmatching, song selection, transitions, mixing basics, equipment setup, performance confidence, and creative expression.

  • Students learn how to turn ideas into music using creative tools and guided instruction.

    Music production classes introduce students to rhythm, sound, structure, recording, editing, and basic production techniques. Sessions can be beginner-friendly or customized for students who already have experience and want to keep building.

    This is a good fit for students interested in making beats, creating original music, learning digital tools, or understanding how music is built from idea to finished track.

  • Scratch classes help students build rhythm, control, timing, and confidence on the turntables.

    Students learn scratch basics, hand control, listening skills, practice techniques, and how scratching fits into DJing and live performance. Classes can be built for beginners or students who already DJ and want to add more technical skill.

    This class is a strong fit for students who want something active, focused, challenging, and creative.
